Alright fellers, I have a question about party hunting and my hunting situation, just to make sure I dont break any laws this year during hunting.  I will be bow hunting and gun hunting in the 200s area, which is a lottery.  I have a doe permit management deer tag for the area at my cabin, so I can get a doe there - but thats if all else fails.
Alright, so the question is.... if I was to get a buck in the lottery area with the bow, would I still be able to party hunt with the shotgun, or would I be excluded from the party hunt, since my deer was taken with a bow during a different season?  Thanks guys, any help is appreciated.

(I read the 2010 book about party hunting and its kinda unclear, Thanks)

i'm usually pretty good with the regs... can't help ya on that one. I would email the dnr and ask. I've had pretty good luck with getting them to respond to me. and if you have an email if you do get stopped.

well if your in a lotto area i assume that means 1 deer and thats it. so if you shoot your buck then your done, so you would be party hunting without a tag at all.....

read through the new regs on saturday night, and just read through them again tonight after seeing your question.  (page 80 of the online regs.)  and what I gather is that you shoot and tag your own buck.  period.  regardless of muzzleloader but those are different seasons/tags.  you can basically tag along to party hunt, but no antlered deer can legally be shot by you. if by chance someone has an any sex or doe permit, you can shoot and cross tag that for someone else in the party.  hope this helps.
