Thought i would see what you guys think Ok on every chunk of land i have to bowhunt i have certin whitetail sanctuary's places where i will not step into during the hunting season unless i would be tracking a deer and some of the area's hold some monster bucks alot of my buddies give me a hard time about not going in there. I do have stands on the outside of them about 60yards or so but nothing right up in them and just wondering how many of you guys also have whitetail sanctuary as you might call them a place for the deer to feel safe and have no reason to homestead another property?

I would call 60 yards away being right up in there.  I don't think 60 yards is much of a buffer.  Heck, they will see you and smell you every time you go there. ( We too leave sanctuarys during the hunt but they are much larger.  Maybe 10 - 15 acres out of every 100 acres.

most of my whitetail sanctuarys are about 60 to 80 acres on 350 acres of land and i ment one stand  it 60 yards and it only gets hunted once a season Halloween Night and it's a permenet stand that has been there for 15 years so they are not bother by it but it is good to see that there are guys like you and me that will not go into there even know we have proof of monster deer in those parts of the woods thanks for the reply

Sounds like we are pretty much on the same page when it comes to leaving a deer sancturary.  Halloween night huh,  I bet there is a story there.

I have one that is aproximently 10 acres of high ground out in the middle of my swamp.
Years ago, I planted crab apple and oak trees on it....
Nobody goes in there till it's shed hunting time.  :happy1:

Handle every stressful situation like a dog.  If
you can't eat it or hump it.

Piss on it and walk away
