He is a shooter  :fudd:

:happy1:  He may be 3.5, but not older than that.  Either 2.5 or 3.5!  Nice length, pretty wide just not all the mass.... if you dont shoot him this year, he will be a bruiser next year!

BUT I WOULD TAKE HIM IF HE WALKED BY!

my guess is that he's not more then 2... and just has some decent genetics. it would be hard to pass.. if I was on public land I would smoke him. private where I thought he had a chance to grow.. I would try.. I say TRY to let him go.. but no promises if I don't see anything all day and he walks in..

I'd say 3.5 and I would most likely take him.

well if he survives the neighbors he will walk. hard to pass, but if he walks by when i have gun in hand he walks, but if i have bow in hand a arrow will be on its way lol

I'd be drawing on this one.  Heck, the way I've been going this year, the squirrls should be getting a little jittery.

I would agree, the main beams are thicker than they looked in the picture.  NICE BUCK, good to see you got a chance at him, I would have plugged him too!   :deer:

happened so fast buck fever didnt kick in until after the shot and watched him trot 25 yards and heard him fall, then i had to sit for awhile, because i was just shaking. walked up to him and had another littler buck come within 10 yards of me, just staring at this buck on the ground, scared him pretty bad when i moved haha. the rut is in full swing around here, i heard him grunting before i even seen him, lucky for me the doe ran right past me then he followed her, i forgot to take the safety off the first time haha ;D

Nice.
Hope one trots past my stand on the 20th up by Blackduck. If not I may have to take up archery again.

if i can tell that doe he was with apart from any other doe I SWEAR TO NEVER SHOOT HER! she gift wrapped this deer for me, could of went 3 other directions but came right past me, and he followed grunting the whole way.

I'm not so sure that's the same buck from the trail cam pics.  If you look at the 3rd trail cam pic and the 2nd and 4th pics from the buck you shot, it appears that the one on the trail cam has about 4 inches more spread between the front tines.  They are very similar racks other than that, even the small point on the right side looks about the same.  There's a chance that the one you shot is a close relative to the one on the trail cam, but not necessarily the same deer.  Genetics can produce very similar antlers sometimes.  I've got some racks mounted that were shot in consecutive years that are so identical that you can hardly tell them apart.

Also, the brow tines are different.  one has a shorter left brow tine and the other has a shorter right brow tine.

I think Orin is right, I noticed that brow tine, I just thought it was something with the camera - like a mirrow, IDK, I confused myself trying to think about it.
But that extra little sticker that your buck has cant be seen on the trail cam pictures.  I might have to agree, it may be a brother, I have seen brother bucks that are pretty much identical.

:deer:  Still a great buck and now you have a buck that will be bigger and badder next year  :happy1:

Could be his dad, yours is thicker and bigger body - and looks like he might have longer tines as well.
