1-1-2011  Wow, another year already!  Liquor store is open from 8-7, Crappies hitting suspended over deep water about 10'...so guys who are really getting them are almost on the bottom in the areas rising up from the deep water, around 25'.  Some nice 11-13 inch limits.  Walleye 12' fishing on muddy bottom by structure with golden shiners.  Rain actually made the ice much nicer, got rid of the slush and cleaned up driving, Crane Island to Lindstrom is showing 7" of super clear ice...12" -15 in some areas...much traffic, we can see small trucks frequently..be careful out there!!

Hello! Do you have an ice thickness update for us? My brother wants to put the house out tomorrow with my Suburban by Cigar. Haven't heard the best reports on ice conditions out there. Thanks! Will be stopping by as soon as we are safe to put the house out.

yep, Like BigA says..trucks all over, and some big houses..the guy who does tree removal is coming across the lake this weekend with his big rig to take down a bad elm..he drove across a couple days ago with his jeep  to check it out from Lindstrom Bay to Wilson Island area..so thinking it must be pretty good!  I have not heard the exact ice depth in a few days, but the rain and the cold have helped...
