Here's something that's sure to get your heart racing.   This is a shed found in Illinois in 2008.   It is the world record typical shed, scoring a giant 96 5/8 inches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Two years before this shed was found, the matching set was found from this deer and went 214 inches and was sold for $19,000.   This deer scored over 200 inches before the world record shed was found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Another shed was found from this deer the year after the world record scoring shed which score 95 and some change, WOW!   I'm sorry, but I have to say it, Holey  :censored:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I wanna see everyones shed pics this year!   Have fun!

I don't get the math. How can it score 96 5/8 and then 2 years earlier it was 214. You would think that his earlier sheds would have been bigger. He must be getting smaller also.

I'm no expert on shed scoring but I think the 96 5/8 is for one side only.  I believe they had both sides for the (estimated) 214.  Does anyone know how they estimated the spread when they have both antlers?

Yep, the 96 5/8 is for one side only and the 214 is the matching set.   They score the spread with an accurate of a guess as they can get.   I haven't heard of anyone killing this deer.   I have the video of the guy explaining the whole story and showing the sheds on my blog.   It's really interesting.

That is a monster shed!!! I am going to bring the match set I found last spring to the Deer classic in march to get it officially score. I scored it at just over 150 with out a spread.
