I haven't been there for a few years now so maybe I will go this year.  No plans yet.

I went last year and missed the shed dog show by Dokken.  I will not miss it this year.  It also helped get my brother to pass on a small buck for the first time EVER.  I can't wait!!!

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.

I also went yesterday.  Crowds seemed a little thin compared to the last time I was there (4 years ago)  I had a good time talking hunting and land management with a number of people.  I saw "Land Dr" and "MNO".  I also ran into a few other people I knew from various sports contacts.  I only spent $10.00 on new products.  I bought 4 of the doo hinkees that you snap on your ladder stand or tripod rail which makes a saddle for your gun.  They had some interesting motorized deer stands.  One attaches to your ATV and levers up to maybe 10 feet or so.  It looked a little "rough" and I think you would have a very difficult time manuvering (it sticks out a foot or more on each side of the ATV and around 6-8 feet behind) through anything but open territory.  Another one was quite interesting.  I was a track you connect to a tree and attach a carrier to it.  You can attach any stand to the carrier.  Simply hopp on and via a winch up you go.  It would be great for older or disabled hunters.

I learned a couple of things that will help me train Lucy to find sheds.  The seminar about scouting and using GPS and the internet was mostly stuff I already used.  I did learn that there is a new overlay app. on google earth that lets you add topography.  Way cool addition for finding new spots.

Stopped in and talked to MNO and Kyle also.  My daughter stayed home because she had to much homework to do so I just went solo.
