Road kill it not new people have done this for year now, back some years ago you hit one you had to leave them, Now days if you hit one call CO, and they will send you paper for it, You can also call the CO and have them put you on a list as if some one hit it call it in and they do not want it they will call you off the list, Some time the food shelf get them,

Here a photo of the big buck that my wife got, She no hunter,  As this bow hunter down the road had finger out wear this buck was coming out of the wood, He when in post up now he new that the buck had to cross the road fist and it was going to be his. But my wife was off to work as she pass head on car this buck made his move to cross the road, She scoop in right off the road at 60 200 feet down the road, she could not get out the driver side and then the truck go in flam and farm and his wife come and put in out, Your are thinking what a sham and wast, Think again Yes it would have been better if the bow hunter got a shot at it, But Now a wast no I butcher it up and cap it out got 30.00 for it the hide was taken in, We eat it all it was good, here a  :Photography:

I had a 7 pointer hit in front of my place this last year. I took thge day off and skun it and took the tenderloins and back straps. The rest looked bruised. I got a pair of leather gloves for the hide. The place I traded in the hide also wanted the private parts of it but i didn't save them. I guess they must sell them to the Chinese for somthing.

YEARS ago when I still lived with the parents we would get 7-8 deer a year.  Dad was a cop so we always got the call for road kill.  Most deer hit by cars will have less wasted meat than a deer shot through both shoulders.  Don't get me wrong there are some deer that we only got the back legs and half of the back straps but there were quite a few that only had broken necks from running into the sides of cars.  I learned how to gut deer in less than a minute because that is all the longer I could hold my breath.  I have gotten at least 1 deer every year for the last 7.  Only 2 were hit by me or should a say I hit 1 and the other ran into me and broke its neck.  Randy the sausage I brought to your party was half road kill.  Pretty tasty.
Anything that is free is worth saving up for.

The "scream" from the music got me again... anyways, pretty neat to see that.

I remember this exact thing happen before school one day.  A former student of mine came upon  fresh deer vs car.  I think is was a fork horn or a 5 point.  He gutted it in the ditch and brought it with him so he wouldn't be late for class.  Came in bloody hands and all.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

A few years ago I hit 2 deer within 2 weeks with my truck, both tasted just as good as a fresh bow kill. Venison is my favorite meat and I wont pass it up.
