BLOOMINGTON — Authorities say one of two men injured during an accidental shooting at a central Illinois gun show is in critical but stable condition after surgery.

McLean County Sheriff Mike Emery told The (Bloomington) Pantagraph he wouldn’t identify either of the people injured during the incident Saturday at the ECA Gun and Knife Show in Bloomington. Emery says the incident is still under investigation.

According to Emery, the second man wounded was treated at a local hospital and released.

Emery earlier said the bullet was accidentally fired and went through a thick wooden post before striking the two men.

Emery says authorities are investigating why a loaded weapon was at the show. :banghead:

Yikes.  I can understand test shooting a weapon before you buy but this is ridiculous.
Take a kid hunting and fishing... It'll be the best thing for generations to come.

That's something that should just never happen. Only time you should be loading a gun at a show is if they have a range and you are on it!!
Friends are like buttcheeks..........crap might separate them, but they come together in the end.
