Got A Few....

I got out for a few hours of catch and release yesterday. Fishing in 12 feet of water on a weed line break. Hole hoping along the weed line, using my favorite noodle pole and glow marmooska tipped with a wax worm.

I went out yesterday for a couple hours. I caught some nice gills for supper!
I only kept 12 for the pan, but they were on a bite as the snow started to fall.....

Me and the boy hit a small lake after he got out'a school yesterday.
Just to see what we could catch  :fishing2:

We caught a few good ones....and some not so good, but we had fun!

The boy tried one of DDS's new jigs, but all he caught was a small perch.
(I think Sunday we will give those jigs a better test run)

I went out for the afternoon by myself to check a few of my old haunts.

I fished in 7 to 9 feet of water over known weed beds, hole hoping, and did well.

I kept a few for the fry'in pan........

Great to hear the old guard still gets out to fish once and awhile.  We're heading out tomorrow.

I did pretty good fish'in in 8 feet of water with wax worms. This time of year is the best for big gills...and they are esy to find!

Well, let me start off by say'in.....

On my way to work on Friday I wacked a racoon going 75mph, it does wonders for a raidiator (sp) So, I thought my weekend was shot.  I twisted of a line on the tranny cooler, and really thought I was done. Well, I got it apart on Saturday, and finished Sunday morning. After that, I needed a little R&R...so, I went fishing! 

I loaded the boat and headed to a local farm pond to see if I could find some fish. I arrived at the landing and unloaded with all my gear in the boat. Using a push pole, I got up on the ice pack. The ice was slick, so I just stayed in the boat and push myself around the lake, drilling holes. I found a few fish, but didn't keep any. But, I did catch a few....

Oh, and there were frogs on top of the ice...I wonder if they were cold?
