Not sure if the sauk forum is right place for big and little birch updates but there closer to sauk centre than st.cloud I'm sure some one will let me know if i'm wrong ;) But there has been pretty good reports of 14" -16" walleyes being caught on little birch lake as well as some bigger ones thrown in once in awhile, heard of a 27" this weekend as well as limits of fish being caught in that eater size stated earlier. As far as big birch I havent heard much, I think the fish are there but dont think the size is. You might stumble on some eaters but you have to pick through alot of small fish  in that 12"  range. Any way will report anyhing new I hear in the birch lake area.
