The weather keeps warming up and the fish keep biting.  Despite the mayfly hatch this past week, the fish have continued to bite aggressively.  The rocks have heated up.  People fishing the reefs and shoals have done well.  Jigs are still producing in deeper water with frozen shiners and leeches.  The shallow bite has been off and on with spinners and crank baits working the best.

Looks like fantastic weather this week.  Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s seems to be the theme.  The occasional thunderstorm may pop up, but that is the norm for July.

The moral of the story is that the fish are spread out throughout the lake.  If one thing isn’t working, try something else.  If the fish are not there, they’re probably not too far away.
