On Friday evening, Saturday morning and evening and this morning, I hunted 4 different stands.  I saw deer from three of them and two coyotes from the other.

Friday evening I watched three deer for almost and hour eating acorns about 60 yards from this stand.  This stand has a clover patch but right now the deer prefer acorns.

Saturday morning, I thought for sure a deer was coming only to see it was a coyote.  It turned and never gave me a shot.  I saw another one at the same time. Do they travel in packs?

Saturday evening I saw a doe and fawn from here.  I don't know how she spotted me because the stand is high and I was well hidden.  Anyway she won the stare down and after a few snorts, left the area.

The fickle wind got me this morning.   Four deer were passing by to the north when the wind switched directly to them.  After some stomping and postering, they finally thought better of it and went back the direction the came from.

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.
