What seasons do each of you plan to hunt?

I will be up at our families cabin for the MN firearms opener thru the following Wednesday.  Then I also have two doe tags for the Black Hills (I live in Spearfish, SD).

I will be hunting all of um, fact I'm heading out to the bow stand right after I post this.
Then, a week of rifle season, then muzzle loader, then more bow. Or till the tags are filled, which ever comes first.  ;)

Outdoor Junkie - I'm curious. Do you hunt whitetails or mule deer or both when you are hunting the Black Hills?

Actually I was wondering if you have a preference? And which are more common where you hunt?

Yup, you can upgrade your deer, my deer or OJ's deer.

There are more whitetail around the hills, out on the prairie there are more mule deer.  My preference is whitetail.

HD, congrats on the buck and doe!  You are carrying the team right now!  The wind was terrible up by Waskish on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.  It finally died down late Monday afternoon and then the deer started moving.  My older boy missed a couple of doe and my younger boy had a "big buck" come with in about 150 yards (but grandpa wouldn't let him take a shot).

The only thing I had come by me was a lone wolf (within 25 yards).  My MN hunt is over, but I have two doe tags to fill in SD.  I will should be able to fill those.

Good luck to eveyone else on the team!
