I was not out there personally, but a buddy of mine was out last weekend and said the crappie bite was pretty good.  Three of them ending up limiting out on crappies in an evening.  He said the bite was consistent until 2:15am and then it shut off completely.  He didn't tell me exactly where he was fishing, but he did say it was out by the eagles nest.  I've heard from quite a few people that the evening crappie bite is pretty good out there.

Yep, sunnies and craps are biting pretty good this past weekend.
Thinking about hitting it up again, Saturday.

How are you getting around out there? Do you need a sled?

I was on Peltier yesterday and could barely walk out, but I did hear that Rush lake had some decent roads plowed allready, I'm guessing that Chisago has roads plowed because of the high amount of traffic on the lake.

Call Frankies on Hwy 8 to find out for sure.

Heard that a truck dropped its front tires threw Chisago on the plowed road, be careful if you go out there
