Weekend On The Croix

Hit the river with Lizzy Saturday night. She out fished me as usual. I missed a couple of nice ones. Got a couple of small eyes and her crappie. She was very excited!!



Fishing Hard



Went out again today with Lizzy and the fishing was slow. We lindy rigged and pulled raps with lead core and handlining. Marked tons of fish but not much going. Pulled in a couple of short eyes but too short to keep. Both days I made a bet with Lizzy on the first fish. If she caught the first fish she would get $1 but if I got the first fish she would have to give me 10 kisses. I lost both days!! Her first fish today was a decent sized striped bass. She caught a few nice sunfish to go with the crappie from last night. I donated a decent perch to the mix. All in all it was a great time on the water as it always is with my favorite fishing partner.

On the way home we hit a Strawberry Farm.



We picked ourselves a couple of pounds of fresh strawberries.
