It is incredible how mismanaged this lake is, especially because of its premiere status....I understand that it is complicated due to many hands in the coffer so to speak but really. Get it right already.

Once the indians finish killing the lake and the surrounding community,I hope we non-natives get a chance to vote or at least put our .02 in when the stocking issue comes up,and like red lake it will rear its ugly head at our expense, just wait.

Its amazing that 3million license buying tax paying non-native citizens sit with our hands tied while a few 100 native tribal members destroy our natural resource, snub their noses at our laws with impunity.

I just hope and pray the the resorts and business can make it till DNR gets this right! They keep everyone in the area working and pay alot in taxes. If Dnr gets it wrong the resorts will be gone, houses on the lake will be almost given away and there will be only 1 business in the area everyone will have to work at! Take look at what happen on red lake ...no one went there business closed, housing , resorts they almost gave away, then they found crappies and everyone went there and then they restocked walleyes and it booming but there was 5 years no one went and that hurt that area of our state! The warrens up in this area tell  everyone it should be 3 walleyes any size and you get off the lake! No release of small or larger your first 3 walleyes you catch your done! The lake is full of big walleyes no one can ever keep and thats killing the lake. You can not have a lake with big walleyes and no little ones! Lets get it right this time we are not going to get another chance!

What are they to do. I think this is a good move. I say put a min on and open the top end a little. It is a start in the right direction.
