Who is going to be chasing turkeys with archery tackle this spring? I am a glutton for punishment, so I am hopefully going to try it for the first time this season. Any advice from the veteran turkey hunters out there?

I guess the best advice I'd have is mark your distances.  I shot at one thinking it was parallel to my decoy but it was about 9 yards past it.  I hit it low, probably gut, and never found it.

Set up on a good trail leading to a food source, set up a blind to conceal your movements. If you choose to shoot through a mesh window, don't use expandable broadheads. Do ALOT of scouting.

You can do it if you find a spot the birds use frequently. You must be able to draw really really slow and hold or hide where they will not pick up movement. It is really frust... I mean fun when they mill around in gun range but stop short of a comfortable bow shot. I have called in jakes that stopped at my feet up against a two foot tall ground blind and peered inside looking for the hen. Honestly it can be done I could have slapped them with my palm if they were not so fast. Some times they will not even show up. If you do not get a bow only license you can have the 12 bore as a backup. I am not that proud to turn to gunpowder.
