I have all different kinds.  I know I have a Fenwick rod that I like for jigging walleyes.  I have a 7' with a counter reel that I like for pulling cranks.  I also have a gander rod that I feel they have the best customer service when returning broken rods.  I also have a Backlash master that I got to be cool like HD, that seems to work ok, that is a Cabela's rod and reel.

I favor Fenwick rods, Gander guide series & one particular Shimano rod. I like 7 ft. 6 in med light action. I have learned on thing quickly when fishing with clients. Most of them are very carless with my equipment. Therefore I don't let them use my high end equipment. They get to use my midrange stuff only. Mostly I give them 6' 6'' length. I'm constantly reminding them to place rods back in storage holders when running down the lake.

They love to lay them on the floor or across the edge of the boat while they bang up and down on the aluminum or get stepped on.  :sorry: I got a bit  :offtopic:  I'll save the war stories for another day!

**word to the wise :whistling:
If you purchase a rod or reel that you realy realy love, Buy another of them that same year. Otherwise you won't find it ever again because manufactures change styles every year. :banghead:

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.
