Been away from fishing too long

My brother just bought a lake place near Grand Rapids. All I've done for the last few years fishing is hook n bobber from shore with the kid. Kinda feel like a newb. What do you think are some good new lake fishing techniques? We started just mixing it up moving around. No real patterns emerged. Few large mouths, perch, sunnies. Ideas?

where around rapids ya at??? we are about 35-40 miles northwest of rapids. not far from Jessie lake or bowstring. would ya name the lake?????

for panfish get close to a weedline and dropline. no bobber. let the hook and sinker hit the bottom reel it up till its 6 inched to a foot off the btm. and troll..........with daredevels rapalas or spinner baits.

Hart lake off of 65. Didn't do any trolling to many kids with as it was my line was always with a kid as I reset their rod. Leaches seemed to work good

I THINK I HEARD OF IT................you know theres only a couple of lakes up in that area.
