I know these are fresh because I saw the deer make them.  I went out with the muzzle loader around noon today.  Very quickly I jumped three deer.  One (a small buck) ran across a small swamp but a doe and fawn headed to the east in the woods.  I circled around on a trail and expected to see where they crossed but didn't see any tracks where I expected to.  I looked back to where they should have come from and there stood a big doe, not 20 yards away.  I fumbled to get my camera out but before I got it ready, she hopped away.  being I know the woods and trails well, I kept circling ahead trying to get in front but I kept running into more fresh tracks.  Well after a while the tracks were in my tracks so I just gave up and wondered around.  It had just stopped snowing when I got there so it was a great learning experience to see where the deer go.

***I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.***
