There  is no one that has a treaty right to spear with the use of generator or electric powered lights or motors or gas engines or Lund boats or net with monofilament gillnets that is what BS is.
I believe there are treaty allowances for the gathering of fish with the traditional methods in use at the time the treaty was signed. These methods or rituals should never be infringed upon. ever.

The fish captured have also no rights to be sold in the commercial market that did not exist at the time of the treaty. For that matter is it legal to transport the catch by automobile? No.
Times change
Even Native tribes  went to war with each other for the so called spearing rights or territory way before the  appearance of the white man.
If any one finds anything in this post racist or derogatory towards the great people who are native to this land can get bent.
