whitefish chain

Well I will be heading up to the whitefish chain for vacation this summer anyone have any areas to look at to find some fish I was maybe thinking of trying big trout lake one day up there to try to find a lake trout but im not sure what to try for baits for them or what water depths to look for them in

    I have not fished Trout Lake but in general the lakers will be moving out to deeper water soon if they have not already.  They will come up to take a bait but you are going to want to try a deep diving crank with some additional weight to get the lure down.   The local bait shop would be very helpful in getting you started and show you some areas to try.
