do any of you run trail cameras to locate turkeys? I have had a ton of trail cam pics of turkey while running them during the deer season I was thinking maybe a guy could run them over the next month or so before heading out with the bow trying to kill one think it's worth it or would i just be wasting my time?

i personally havent used them. i suppose you could use it just like deer season and it wouldnt hurt. but I know the "Plot Watch" feature is very helpful for turkeys. i think thats actually what sparked the interest in it. idk if your cameras have it, but it will take a pic every 5 min. set them up on a field and you basically watch a "picture movie" and can tell where turkeys are coming out from and what time of day. even if its 200 yrds on the other side of the field.

Not much of a turkey guy but itnwould pronably help if turkeys have the tendency to use the same area on aroutine basis. I dont knownif they do. Ive driven by a area an seen turkey out scratchen an then havent seen them there again.id like to known. That reminds me i gota get my bear cams out. Wont belongnup here an theyll start coming out. In the spring, it would be tough...cause Tom follows where mama goes. Depending upon which side of the branch she jumps off in the morning, usually determines which way they go. BUT, they do use the same fields (if there is a food source) just which route they take and what time they get there...is up to the hen.

 I just bought my first 2 trail cams,Do you people use them in cold weather? I tried mine in the yard under bird feeders.They froze up (the batteries were to cold) They as addons have power pacs.Will a power pac work better than the 8 batteries they use?
 I was planning on some turkey pics,Not hunting this year but wanted to get some trial pics.

yeah but top quality batteries is a must. this past winter wasnt to batterie freindly, but ive had cams run all winter in the past and its worth getting the ion type.
