Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton launched the official start to the fishing season with the 2014 Governor's Fishing Opener on Gull Lake. :fishing:

Just after midnight, the governor, state officials, Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon and Congressman Rick Nolan boarded fishing boats with their guides beneath a starry sky and a night accented by loon calls. The boats left the dock at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa with each party planning on landing the biggest fish.
