The fishing hasn't been bad, with many lakes giving up smaller walleyes lately.  A week ago, people were having trouble finding any small enough to keep.  Minnows have been the bait of choice, but walleye are starting to take leeches.
There is still a shortage of minnows and leeches, that hopefully will get better!!
The walleye being taken are anywhere from 14-20 FOW.  This holds true for Snowbank, Basswood, White Iron, and Shagawa lakes.
The best pike reports have been from those bobber fishing off of docks with a Cisco and bobber, or placed on the bottom in 6-10 FOW.
Bass are not very active, but should improve as the water temps warm.
Lake Trout  in Snowbank and Burntside are in 10-20 FOW, and can be taken with either a Cisco or slowly trolling a medium sized sucker.
The marker buoys have finally been put on the lakes in the last two days, but be careful as some are as far as 250-300 feet away from the actual rock on Burntside Lake.
