Got a doe this weekend.
Story is a little un-orthodox.  I was getting done hunting, and was walking thru the woods, seeing if there were any deer around, since I didn't see anything Sunday morning.  I didn't kick out any deer while walking through the woods, so I walked back towards the house to meet my Uncle and to say goodbye to the land-owner.  As I got up to the house, I looked down the driveway (the house is tucked back into the woods, and the driveway is about 0.2miles long.) and I saw a doe standing there watching me.  I started to walk towards her, and she ran a little into the woods.  I walked parallel to her and watched her in the woods.  She just stood there curious, so I saw a large tree that I could walk behind, hidden, to get into range.  She didn't spook.  I got to the tree, it was a 4pronged tree, so I ranged her at 30yds.  Since it was right at my pin, I figured I would see if I could get a shot.  I peaked out, drew my bow and SCHWACK!  Double lung, thru and thru and she only ran 40yards.
We hunted all weekend and didn't see many deer, none in bow range, just some walking through the woods.  This was the only weekend he and i could bow hunt together, so luckily we got that tag filled.  Ive never spot and stalked a whitetail before... into range, so it was a great weekend.  Cameras were full of does, no bucks yet.

Hunting is not life and death. It is more important than that.
