Slow and steady presentation fills the limits this week as the walleyes are gearing up for the cold weather months. On the lake, best reports around 25 feet. Gold jigs the best tipped with frozen or live shiner. In front of Pine Island from Lighthouse gap to Morris Point gap the most active.  Fish also going on Zippel Bay reef, Long Point and in front of Rocky Point.

Fishing on the Rainy River still producing in multiple areas. Best method has been anchoring and jigging over deeper holes, or moving downstream slowly so jig is still vertical in 10 - 15'. Glow or orange jigs with live or frozen shiners the best. Good reports in front of Wabanica Bay, just off the docks of Clementson and west of Frontier landing.

Fishing up at the NW Angle still productive.   Strong walleyes, crappies and pike reports in neck down areas with current and island points.  Muskie anglers are having success trolling and casting.  Info on all lodging at www.LakeoftheWoodsMN.com/Lodging
