Knot's for the fly fisherman

Just a heads up........      Orvis has a realy cool knot, How too, and what each knot is used for, section on there websight for the fly fishing beginer like me! I just might buy a rod from them.

I just checked that out and it looks like a very good tool.
Yes, there are PLENTY of knots to learn out there in the fly fishing world, but only a few "must know" knots.  Even then, the industry is finding ways around that.  Ever tried leader links at the fly line/leader connection?  After putting it off for a couple of seasons now, I finally gave one a whirl the other week and I kid you (k)not - sorry, had to do it - I may never tie another nail knot!  Very slick indeedy and that connector slides right through the tip-top guide like butter.  If you need to run long leaders for, say, a trico hatch or spinner fall, you know that you gotta move that connection (whatever it is, ie, nail knot) through the tip-top guide to land a fish.
