 :scratch: :scratch:  I saw a brief side imaging vid on Facebook. It got me thinking.  If you mounted your vex transducer on a pole and pointed it sideways  and set the depth at max would it not give you a 9 degrees cone angle and approx distance to fish laterally from where you are?   :scratch: :scratch:  The range would run out until the cone angle hit bottom.  This should register a solid line.  I think it would.    :whistling:
