got a 64 pounder today

My last weekend of spring beaver trapping.  This female tipped the scale at 64 pounds.

She was by far the most bit up and scarred  beaver I have ever seen.  Hide will be almost worthless.

I also took a few photos of the fetuses in and out of their uterus if anybody wants to see them.

naw im ok with not seei g them. that massive beav. didnt think they got that big. i bet that takes up a big stretccher huh?

They look like night crawlers when they are little. Probably earlier than this one.

Yep, she is big.  Will go extra large to blanket easy.  Almost all scars were on one shoulder so instead of splitting her up the middle of stomach I went down the side.  Can't sell it this way  but I will get it tanned and make a hat or choppers out of her.

They are about 5 inches long and look like baby puppies with no hair

I will also be chasing 4 toes next year.  He got lucky this time but next time he won't be as lucky.

I'm always rooting for you Dakids but now that this one has a name.....I'm going to be cheering for him.
