I fish for walleye's shallow most of the year.  I like fishing the stained water up north around Duluth and some lakes in the Arrowhead area.  These lakes are shallow for the most part and full of structure.  These lakes have a good day bite as well.  Even in some clearer lakes I fish shallow through June.  Weed lines and early am and late afternoon into evening. By far my favorite type of fishing.  good luck.
