My first year where I actually looked for them.  Found 20 pounds ds in less than 30 minutes.  Tasty fungus for sure.  I fried them in butter.  Ate them by themselves, in an omelet and topping burgers.  Any other ways to prepare them?

Is the top pic a chantrell?Hard to tell without seeing the underside the gills. If it is thats  a biggun as ole Al Bundy would say.

When I got lots of em  just like any rooms we pick the excess gets fried in butter then frozen for winter treats

That is really nice!!!  We used to go with our parents over to Wisconsin to pick shrooms.  My dad knew what to pick.  I have no idea right now.  You could use them in stir fry's, soups, beef roasts [throw them in with the roasts and have them in the gravy later], or even in sausage.  Hope you get more.  good luck.

Same here.  They got plenty of books out and stuff on the puter.  It's a mater of taking the time to go hunt them down.  Fishing-shrooms, Fishing or shrooms.  On the bucket list.  Love them shrooms.  good luck.
