    • Fishing & Hunting South Dakota's Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe
I along with guides Props Jr. and Jody Cutler guided a great bunch of hunters over from around the Sheridan Wy area. This group of repeat customers ramrodded by Greg Greenough is as fun a bunch of guys as you can get and we all had a great time and caught a lot of walleyes getting limits of fish for the most part. We caught these fish on Lake Sharpe fishing in 10 fow or less on both flicker shad plugs and btm bouncer/minnow/crawler rigs. Minnow/jigs or jigs/gulp are also working. The bite was ( work for the fish) great when they run the right current .I did hear about some fish being caught on Oahe so things might be improving on the big lake but I haven't been fishing there so can't say for certain. I do know if you fish around any place with under water trees you can get plenty of northern pike on Oahe. Once again the fishing season is winding down so these reports will be more weekly unless a big change happens. Season opener for out of state hunters starts this week end and the outlook is great for numbers but a lot of un-harvested crops can slow down the action for a week or two. Over all success should be the report from those hunters in the know especially those who have done research into hunting area's. Great weather so far but that probably is going to be changing soon so enjoy these great fall days.
