Some of you may know him, some may not.  Anyhow wanted to get this out here. Tommy a Professional Tournament Fisherman, and Speaker super guy.  He fell out of his deer stand this weekend.  They air lifted him to a hospital in Lacrosse WI with a broken neck.  Fortunately at this time he can move all his limbs and such, but needs emergency surgery.  You can search him on Facebook for updates.

Great news all around! Thank you to everyone for your prayers and continued support. Tommy had a very successful surgery today and is off to a positive start on his way to a full recovery. Some of the first words out of his mouth out of surgery were, "I just had a dream I won a tournament." I know he'll be anxious to get on the water and do just that, once he has time to heal. Both Tommy & his family are very thankful & appreciative right now of everyone's support and are feeling truly blessed!
Thanks again to Kyle Steinfeldt for the report!

Thanks for the update Lee. I used to follow him quite a bit back in the PWT days as he was from my neck of the woods, NE Ia. It sounds like he's a very lucky man, as those type of injuries usually turn out a lot worse. Hope you are right & he is able to tournament fish again :happy1:

Yeah this has been really Bad and good news ...Tommy is quite the guy.. a pleasure to talk to to and always willing to share techniques etc.  I've quit letting guys/gals  use either ladder or climb up to stands on my place because of reasons like this.  Am switching over to all box stands with constructed steps like a deck.  To many would not wear their safety harness and just a bad scene waiting to happen.  Please wear your safety harness if sitting in a deer stand.   BTW  I have a ^%$^%$ up lower back falling out of a homemade stand when I wa
