Mine was a thermos of chicken noodle soup.....and a braunschweiger sandwich.  Also popping some hot dogs or brats in a thermos of boiling water was always a good, hot, easy meal instead of a sandwich. By the time ya get there, they're cooked for ya.  I have a couple of the Thermos food jars...they are GREAT for soups and stuff. The older ones from a few years back are still around, if you can find one. Top doubles for cup, and still has spoon folded in top. They always haveta wreck a good thing.... :doah: I'd still recommend one. What's your favorite must-have food to take on the ice?

I see Wally world still sells the older version...the top is also a cup and spoon holder. Go grab one!!!   :happy1:

Good dark beer.  I also bring some smoked polish and also heat up some of my German kraut.  That will warm you up.  I have brought up some homemade chicken noodle soup in a thermos at times.  My brother is always good for manhatten bumps.  good luck.

Nothing better than cooking the fish you catch.  Glenn was able to try this for the first time last year on Red since he was with others who could actually catch some.  Beer is my drink of choice.

Good call on the fish general  (especially freshly caught). Anything on the grill with a beer will suit me just fine.  :toast:
