Would young goats taste as good as lambs?  A buddy and I are interested in maybe having a lamb butchered..  I haven't had it in 25 years but would do it if the price was right. Trying to find some up here by Baudette.  There is goats here that I know of.

Lamb is delicious! when they get older the taste intensifies and is called mutton,Thats for us Americans a aquired taste its different! Myself I like a old lamb just getting that flavor but not as strong as mutton.
Goat is different than lamb but also delisious when young, a old billy to me is way to strong an stinky tasting.I do like goat as much as lamb and bout the same age range where it is getting that different flavor not to strong but present.
Try either LPS lambs or kids I bet you'd like em!
Course I'm one of those people who'll try anything and have from insects, dog, snakes, carp aged meat rotting an fish that way.still eat coons lots, muskrats an in the last few years Marsupials right at home==Possium. I roamed around alot an ate what was available

Dew you need to be on Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmer.  I like that show but wouldn't eat everything he does.

I'm biased and would definitely go with the lamb! Goats eat things like tin cans.  :rotflmao:

Ya that is what I was thinking too.  Lamb it is.  Now I have to find one in my area.  There used to be sheep all over up here I guess but not for a few years.  Not sure why.

The wolves ran out of moose to eat so they had to adjust their diets!  ;) burp-402.gif
