:reporter; Adrian Peterson Visiting the Patriots This Week

WHAT.
 :doah:

 :coffee: .......
The New England Patriots are in the middle of one of the craziest offseason we've ever seen: Trades, free agents and key re-signings. The reigning Super Bowl champs are somehow even better off than they were last year.

 :doah:
And somehow, they may get even better. According to reports, Adrian Peterson is set to begin his tour of interested teams next week. His first stop on the list?

New England of course:

The 32-year-old future Hall of Famer has yet to find a team willing to sign him because of his age and recent injuries, as well as the fact that he has been asking for way too much money.

However, him joining the Patriots would make perfect sense for both sides. The Pats have solid RB options in James White and Dion Lewis, but neither of them are four-down backs. Peterson can handle the majority of the load, but needs a break here and there, which the other two provide.

If AP and the Pats are able to work out a deal for a reasonable price, this may be a match made in heaven.  :doah:

:reporter; Report: Peterson visits Patriots, leaves without contract offer!

4/4/17

 confused-3316.gif
Adrian Peterson visited with the New England Patriots on Monday, but the veteran running back has reportedly not received a contract offer from the team.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Peterson left Foxboro without a deal but the two sides could still have discussions in the future.

Peterson would seemingly be a good fit with the Patriots if he is willing to sign a team-friendly deal and they choose to not re-sign LeGarrette Blount. Peterson does not do his best work in the passing game, but New England already has players like Dion Lewis and James White to fill that role. The 32-year-old would likely play on early downs if he signed with the Pats.

 :bonk: (wake up)
Almost a full month into free agency, Peterson still has not found a home. A report from earlier on Monday claimed there are several :bs: teams who are interested in signing him, but the former Minnesota Vikings averaged just 1.9 yards per carry last season and is coming off another serious knee injury. The market for A.P. is obviously not scorching hot.

I personally think the Vikes should make him a team friendly deal and sign him. I think he is going to run with a chip on his shoulder this year after being shrugged off like this in free agency. I think he is going to be in beast mode. My two pennies.

I think JB & Boar both make good points. A couple other factors at play here IMO & that he doesn't catch the ball very well( granted a lot of teams have a 3rd down back just for that these days), his pass blocking will get your starting QB hurt, & last but not least he wants too much $.
