This might even be better with the polish, RH!  Let me know how it turns out.

Now I need to find some time to smoke some ham hocks before deer season so I can try this sausage with your German Gumbo Recipe.  Might need an extra bottle of scent blocker the next day in the stand! ;)

Save some of those smoked hocks for bean or split pea soup, TL!!!  :azn:

Definitely Ham & Bean soup, but one of the few things I will NOT eat is split pea soup.  That and beets.   :puke:

O for delicious! Both of 'em!!!   :azn: Speaking of, I took this pic of the big menu board on the cafeteria wall at St. Marys hospital about 15 years ago. Someone wasn't sure of the "pea" in the soup... :rotflmao: This actually was up all day, and no one bothered to change it.

Well, they would have access to a lot of that in the Hospital.  Perhaps they're just trying to save money by locally sourcing the ingredients? :rotflmao:

My big ol steel desk which I love has a St. Marys metal tag on it.  I wonder how it made the journey to me?
