The plan was to hit lake superior and chase Lakers and salmon.  Mother nature had different plans. High winds and big waves stopped us cold.  We chose osakis and sunnies.  It was a big change that played off.  As we were putting in at head of the lake resort we were talking to a guy on the dock he said that the bay was filled with boats the night before all fishing 8 th 10 feet of water.  It was great luck.  We tried about 200 yards from the access.  It was nonstop action.  Many double and triples. We had 33 in the live well after an hour.  The bigger fish stopped bitting so we headed to a spot that was given to me by a friend that fishes the lake often.  That spot held no fish.  On our way back to the 1st spot we found a huge school of suspended crappie.  We tried everything we had and only caught 3 fish.  Hit the original spot and caught 27 more and headed to the cleaning shack.  Best bait was gulp 1 inch minnows.

Ya I don't get any sunny fishing here.  Crappies can be had but I don't know where.  Would be fun to get some of those too.  In 13 years I have caught 2 real nice ones in the river ice fishing.  It was different years too.
