Ditto.  Goodwill has radio spots running now talking about how their big "charity" thing is providing job training to those who need it.   Maybe, but many see it more like minimum wage employees selling merchandise the owner didn't have to pay anything for.  They might be a legal non-profit entity, but all that money has to go someplace - and it ain't Little Sisters of the Poor - at least to my knowledge.

Back to pans...  My ma has more opportunity to shop thrift stores.  Over the years she has gotten some REALLY nice pans for cheap, but finding them is mostly miss and rarely hit.  You have to shy away from the used teflon stuff because they are mostly worn out by the time they get donated.  Every once in a while you can find a nice, thick aluminum dutch oven or stainless saute pan.

My go to store for pans is Marshall's.  They sell some sets - again miss and hit and not always bargain prices - but their best deals are on singletons.  You end up with a mish-mash in your cupboards, but that is the price you pay for being thrifty.

Congrats on finding a good set.  Cooking with quality pans does make a difference.

that looks like a real good set Barry, I see they have a nice 12 inch pan that I might have to look at!!!

Ya I liked that pan too.  That is what I will probably use the most.  Spaghetti etc.

I'm guessing he just pokes holes in the top of the can or opens the lid and puts them right on top of the burner Reb...

Time itself is bought and sold, the spreading fear of growing old contains a thousand foolish games that we play. (Neil Young)
