Yeah, like I believe anything that the Chinese government says.

They probably snatched him from the limelight, put him in their own fully-funded government labs, and told him to keep them posted as to what he comes up with.

(Sorry for being so cynical, but for some things, I don't trust certain oppressive governments that have a long track record of not giving a s#!t about basic human dignity or rights.)
