Snow is here! Fishing was very good this past week, with quite a few northerns and walleyes caught. Crappie action in the area has been quite good, with even some of the “tougher” lakes kicking out nice fish. Places to look would be the deeper water areas surrounding shallow, weedy areas on lakes such as Manhomen, Blackhoof, Bay, Eagle and Serpent in the evening hours. Bring quite a few jigs; the pattern can change hour to hour and accidental northerns and walleyes have a tendency to break a line now and then. Look for sunfish to be in the same areas on these lakes as well as Little Rabbit, East Rabbit and Little Blackhoof. A few jumbo perch have been caught on East Rabbit in the brush piles by crappie fishermen as well.
If a gun kills people then I can blame a pen for my misspells?
