Nice presentation.  I really like perch fishing as well.  Great tasting fish and easy to catch.  good luck.

Fun to catch, but you can eat 'em....never cared for 'em. Many moons ago, when WB lake didn't have the water level issues, the schools of them would be followed in by the water wolves....

Reb I got to say that I have never had or heard of anyone say that perch taste funny.  Might have been the seasoning or the lake they came out of.  Kabetogoma Lake has some huge perch up to 15 inches.  They got a slot up there that you can only keep walleye 17 inches or under.  The problem with that was that it was hard to catch one under 17 inches so the perch were a great substitute for the fish fry's.  A good batter and deep fry can't be beat.  I like brussle sprouts too but with fried fish I eat them like I do camping.  With fried potatoes.  Cut up some bacon and fry it till brown and crispy, add some onions and then cut the potatoes and put them in with the bacon and onions till golden brown.  good luck.

Well, ya have now! And I love fish! They came out of lakes around the cities like WB, Peltier, Bald Eagle, etc. and southern Minny.....that might have been it. I dunno. Just didn't like the taste. Can't describe it; not bad, just different.
