It was nice to see a victory following the tough road loss to Dallas.
The first period was much like the Dallas game, in that the Wild appeared to again be skating in wet concrete.  After being outshot 11 - 1 in the first eleven minutes the Wild got their skates moving and finished the period 12 - 11 in shots.
That late 1st period boost carried over to period two when Mark Parrish scored a little over two minutes into the period.  the game appeared to be in control from that point to a 3 - 0 lead into the third period when Florida put two quick ones in and made the score 3 - 2 with about 6 minutes to play.
The panthers got called for a slash and it costed them as the wild scored the Power Play game clincher and put them away with a final score 4 - 2.

I think the Wild have been playing great this year.  When we had so many guys on injured reserve the rest of the team really stepped up and got the job done.  Brian Rolston is out now which hurts but it looks like Gabby et al are back on their game so Brian can rest up.  We host the Hurricanes this Saturday.  We may even have Brian and Kurtis Foster back by then.  I think Manny will still be out but who's hotter than Backstrom?  -- NOBODY!!! and thats a fact.

GO WILD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your right, Foster and Rolston should both be back on Saturday.  Unfortunatly, Manny is another story, it looks like he will likely be out another 2- 3 weeks.  That said, what a great time to get the best goaltender in last years European League a little consistent action!  Manny really seems to struggle when he is the "Goto" guy.  Look at how hot he was while splitting time with Duane Roloson. Early this year Manny gave up more than a couple of soft goals.  I think a good prospect on the bench to share time with him will elevate Manny's play too.

I saw lot of hit from the Boogy man.  The whole team is playing so well right now.  Im surprized they lost to Calgary the other night.  Im pretty excited that we have 3 top notch goalies.  Here's our 3rd string goalie, Josh Harding with a shut out in his 5th ever game; it was his 2nd shut out.  The Wild better lock that boy in!!!!

We have 3 players with over 20 points each and everyone just looks syncronised out there.  I feel real good about the playoffs this year.

Another note about Harding.  He has a collection of face masks but last night he wore one that was gold with pink ribbons to represent his sisters fight against breast cancer.  At least that's what my wife told me; she does some fund raising for that cause.  I always respect a man who knows what's truly important and worth standing up for.

GO WILD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can hear that fog horn now.
