I just thought it was pretty  :cool:, especially during these  :crazy: times, that he won the humanitarian award at the ESPYS this weekend. :happy1: It rewards his foundation, Boomstick23, with $100,000 from ESPN. First MLB to ever win this award. He's done a lot of good things for the little town in the Dominican Republic where he grew up including purchasing them a firetruck, ambulance, & organizing a free clinic yearly . Everywhere he has played in his career he been very active helping others too. We need MORE like him IMO!!

They had a live shot of him when he learned that he'd won & he broke down :cry: immediately. Even then the 1st thing that came to his mind was how many people this would benefit. :applause:
