One would think by febuary we would have good ice ,not so last weekend, been on the fence making a trip to two harbors to get after some lakers and bows, might even tag a bonus salmon, just never know what lurks below, these guyz not so lucky, they lost all gear,I  floated on year on mille lacs for 3 hours, scary deal, but this....yikes,they rescued 26 not so lucky fishermen, had to leave gear behind.

Curious how they would go about retrieving they're goods?,some counties around our state have hover crafts for rescue but doubt they are allowed to be used other than rescue?those large floating ice chunks/berges would be tough to manuver around in a small boat.
