2 huge ones in the back yard by the garage down home. They sure can fill up the gutters without a problem.

The silver maple in the backyard is loaded with helicopters this spring too. The fox squirrels have been eating them ever since I yanked their ear corn. They can't possibly eat all of them tho. They buried corn all over the yard. When it doesn't rain and the lawn doesn't get mowed there'll be corn growing everywhere.

Just small ones here yet. So no helicopters yet. We used to have a ton of them at our old place in Becker. Lived the fall colors though.

Whose idea was it to plant a maple tree in my front yard?  :angry2:

Wait, never mind.   :doah:

Actually, this is the first year my tree is making seeds.

i cleaned up the best i could this past weekend the helicopters in my landscape rock and lawn......... my yard waste barrel over 1/2 full!!!!!!!

my kid told me to go to the DNR website, thye have info on collecting and giving the seeds to them for reforestration projects. so i looked, they actually are looking for all kinds of different trees seeds.

so i sent them an email......there reply was to call a collection office, mine would be in little falls and talk to them first. its to late for the maple if i seen it correctly, but i have a black walnut i'm going to look into. they collect those in October!!!
