You folks see many ticks this year? Usually, I'm a tick magnet. I've walked from my back door to my fur shed (150' or so) and gotten two ticks. So far this year, I've only had two ticks.
Doctor told me I had a tick bite. Treated me for Lyme. She never tested me for it. She just told me she suspected it. I never had any of the symptoms of Lyme, though.
Anyhow, are there many ticks around? It was a dry spring and summer.
I used to be cute and adorable. Then, I had my first birthday. Been downhill ever since.

Hate ticks, yeah my pup had one attached last month, ticks become active in the fall after a long hot,dry summer they lay dormant until heavy morning dew and warm fall days until we get a good freeze.

They are most active amongst fir tree's such as cedar?pine tree's as these tree's warm up quick and hold the warmth..

Gave up bow hunting because of early fall deer I shot would be invested with ticks,I usually had my deer hung/skun while critter's were still warm, good benny having a deer honey hole near home,my garage floor would be alive with ticks falling off the deer....today it's beef...iffin I can afford it.

When I used to bear hunt a lot I was in the Roseau meat locker and asked him if he did bears in season.  He said he used to but never again.  He said a few years earlier it was a tick infested season and they got a lot of bears in cuz it was so warm.  He said the walls and floors had ticks crawling all over them.  They said never again and I guess I don't blame them.
