Broke 2 arrows today.

Both the boys had doings this morning so the wife and I decided to head over to the archery range for awhile. I let her shoot my youngest sons PSE and she did fairly well for a first timer. She actually had more trouble figuring out how to use the release. We did find out one good bit of info, she would prefer to shoot left handed. She's ambidextrous and archery is one of those things she feels more comfortable doing left handed. Anyways, I shot my first set of arrows into the bales and it took about 15 minutes to get them out, apparently they are too wet or maybe even still frozen in the center. I broke one arrow trying to get them out.? >:( The second was I guess what you'd call a Maid Marion. (same thing as a Rodin Hood except not in the bullseye) Luckily I had my portable target in the back of the truck so it turned out all right.

Joe thats nothing to be ashamed of. At are place up at lake of the woods we have a 12 target 3-d course its is bears deer hogs caribou and i think  javalina. We shoot all summer long and we get to be shooting so good that we pick little holes in the brush to shoot through and are successful at it. See we play pig and horse with my uncle and his buddy. There has been day were we went through half a dozen arrows from breaking to hitting trees to losing them it is quite a blast. We have a lot of fun even though we go through about at least a dozen arrows a summer.

And joe we shoot all carbons. Let me tell you an arrow to buy that holds up through a lot of tree whacking its a Carbon Express Terminator Hunter Select they hold up amazingly we have tried damn near every arrow on the market and that holds up the best for the shooting

I just switched from Beman ICS Hunter to Carbon Express CXs. The Bemans held up really well, but when I bought my new bow last winter I had to get new arrows. I've been happy with them so far. I just had a couple of mishaps that I doubt any arrow could withstand. I learned a good lesson though. I just wish it wouldn't cost so much.
