They were talking about Morels on the KFAN Fan Outdoors radio program last week.

The guest was saying that up to this point it had been too cold for them.  The two take-aways I remember...

She said she waits for 3 consecutive nights where the temperature stays above 50 degrees

And/Or

Waits for the lilacs to start blooming.

I reckon things should really take off after this rain and warmth.

read some where today a couple guys in SE Iowa I think went out and started super slow..  when they were done they had 200 pounds!!!!   that's a lot of good eats!!!!   
a bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work!!
